My Uncle Don is the one who got me into the game. My parents never played but it was my uncle that would take me golfing all the time and ignited that interest in playing the game. It was the challenge of the game and also the opportunity to spend time with and compete with myself and with good friends.
After becoming a college coach, I knew I still needed to learn and grow as a golf professional. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with and learn from Steve Mulcahy at Shawnee Country Club in Lima, Ohio. I learned so much from Steve about how to be a golf professional but more importantly how to manage and lead a group of people.
