I was fortunate to work as an Assistant Professional at Oakmont CC during the mid-90’s and it is without question from tee to green the most complete golf course without any flaws.
The golf course demands accuracy off the tee with thick rough and over 180 bunkers. Second shots must be exact, while the greens are large in nature, they play small due to the undulations. Day in and day out the speeds of the greens are the best in the country with respect to their smoothness and as we all know their speed.
If given the chance, I would recommend playing Oakmont, it will test your entire game.
