At the top of the backswing a player’s weight should be loaded up on the inside of the right foot. If it is on the outside of the right foot, that is termed sway, and that can lead to topped and chunky shots. As the backswing proceeds a player should turn, feeling weight on the inside of the right foot.
Players that reverse pivot keep their head over the ball and don’t allow their body and often times their chin to turn into the right side. Someone that sways, moves too much laterally, and gets out of balance.
