These trips can be very different if it’s with one’s wife , couples or a group of fellows. If the guys can all advance the ball and don’t mind a little weather I’d say the Scotland trip including Turnberry , Troon , Carnoustie , Muirfield and The Old course is a fabulous trip both golf and history wise. I’ve never been to Ireland but my brother has 7 years in a row – a great venture ! Pinehurst is a good one with the accommodations being super and the selection of courses wonderful. Maybe on the top of the list from the courses , lodging, dining and weather is Scottsdale. Great trip many people pass on for no apparent reason. Pebble Beach , Spyglass and Spanish Bay is awesome but a bit pricy but world class facilities. . Not for golfers who are thinking about budget. A gem of a facility with numerous nice courses all at one location is Doral. The key is to go just before the snowbirds start to arrive in the late fall. They have some great deals at a top shelf class facility.
