Who is your favorite to win The Open Championship this weekend?

The Open Championship is one of the exciting events in all of sports. We ask our golf professionals who they think will be holding the Claret Jug on Sunday.

Brooks is inside the top 10, I have to say he is the odds on favorite.

Considering that we’re already almost halfway through the tournament & Brooks is inside the top 10, I have to say he is the odds on favorite. His steady play over the past couple of years gives him the proven track record & confidence to continue doing what he’s doing. He has now shot six consecutive rounds in the 60s in majors. No reason to believe that will stop anytime soon.

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least bit if either Justin Rose or Tommy Fleetwood came through at the end of the week either. Tons of golf left to be played. The golf course is presenting itself in fantastic condition & testing the best players in the world. If only the R&A & USGA would continue to spread the wealth around to other facilities in these great golfing nations rather than using a standard “rota”.

I’m thinking this is Tommy Fleetwood‘s time to win a major!

While Koepka is clearly a favorite, I’m thinking this is Tommy Fleetwood‘s time to win a major! He’s been in contention before and I think he has a great game and demeanor that fits Royal Portrush. My “long shot” prior to the start of the tournament was Erik van Rooyen, who is in the hunt, and has been playing great leading up to The Open!

My pick this week to win The Open is Justin Rose.

Midway through The Open Championship it is hard to really say anyone can catch J.B. Holmes right now with how solid his ball striking and accuracy has been, however J.B. hasn’t really been in this situation at a major before and with some of the toughest conditions with weather and the natural rough I wouldn’t be surprised to see him slip down the leaderboard.

My pick this week to win The Open is Justin Rose. Finishing T3 at the US Open, T2 at the 2018 Open Championship, and already having a Major victory under his belt he is in the right position to make a good score — around 65, and surpass J.B. Holmes late Friday. Rose has the mentality to fight through the conditions at hand and we have seen him before stay cool under the pressure and keep his game in tact until the last putt is dropped.

I would like Brooks Koepka to win since he is such a great player in the Majors

I would like Brooks Koepka to win since he is such a great player in the Majors and needs to show the golf world he really is the best player in the world.

My second choice is Lee Westwood since he had competed in 81 majors and just hasn’t quite won yet. If anyone deserves to win , it would be Lee. I’m sure UPS would be very happy also!!

Englishman Tommy Fleetwood.

The winner of this year’s Open will be Englishman Tommy Fleetwood. This guy burst onto the big stage a couple of years ago at Erin Hills and has made a household name for himself. Like Koepka, he seems to rise in the major championships and I think he believes he will win one, as do I. For the second year in a row we’ll have a first time major winner at the Open.

I feel a player from the U.K. will win. Justin Rose or maybe Tommy Fleetwood will break through.

I feel a player from the U.K. will win. Justin Rose or maybe Tommy Fleetwood will break through. U.K. sentimental long shot, (which there always seems to be at The Open) is Lee Westwood.

Shane Lowry looks like he wants it.

Shane Lowry looks like he wants it. I would pick him and believe Ireland would go nuts if he can pull it off!

Tommy Fleetwood

Simply, Tommy Fleetwood. Looks to be Europe’s best chance to halt an American sweep of this years Majors.
