My favorite domestic destination golf trip is Bandon and Pacific Dunes. It’s a majestic location with four great courses. Since it’s somewhat remote there are no distractions from the golf. The accommodations are nice, but minimalistic. The staff is terrific. I think it’s the closest to Irish/Scottish golf in the US. My favorite international destination golf trip is Ireland. I played up the East coast from Royal Dublin to Northern Ireland to Royal Port Rush. We played seven courses in 6 days, had terrific meals at local restaurants and the hotels were great. The weather is always something of a concern, but we got lucky with no rain and only one day of crazy wind. I loved the beautiful landscape of the country and the course looked as if Mother Nature designed them.
