If it looks good, you like the sound, or your favorite tour star plays it, play it.

When it comes to selecting what golf ball is best to use, players need to first understand that they all have to conform to USGA specifications. So basically, they all perform pretty much the same.
Claims that one dramatically outperforms the others, is basically just that. A claim.
For the average golfer, it will not affect distance, accuracy, or scoring unless you think it will. Point being, if you like the ball, play it. If it looks good, you like the sound, or your favorite tour star plays it, play it.

For tour pros and top-level amateurs, a small edge can be gained from ball fitting, spin rate etc. But for the average player, I recommend a lesson from a qualified PGA Professional, focus on becoming a better player and not worry about hitting it out of play and losing balls. To answer further, if the cost of golf balls is an issue, I recommend refurbished bulk top-line balls at 1/3 of the price. (about $1.50 each) Available in all brands and types.

Personally, I have only had a Titleist # 1 in my bag for forty years. I like the look, the sound, the history, I THINK it’s the best, and that’s good enough for me.

Go well, Play well Have fun out there!
